Pak Choi with Garlic Oyster Sauce

Crisp pak choi stir fried with fresh cherry type chillis, garlic and seasoned with oyster sauce and garlic chives. Quick and easy to make and very tasty. Great served with plain rice and Gingered Cispy Beef.
Serves 2 prep 5 min cooking 5mins

  • 1 head of pak choi or 2 small heads
  • 1 cherry chilli (1 fresh red chilli), de-seeded and chopped.
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic chives

Blanch the pak choi in boiling water for 1 minute and chop into bite size pieces. Heat a wok or large saute pan add the oil and when it is very hot throw in the garlic & chilli, stir fry for a minute or two then add the pak choi. Stir fry for another minute or so then add the water and oyster sauce stir to lift all the juices in the pan and serve.
Variations you can use soy sauce instead of the oyster sauce for a vegetarian version.
